The Amenorrhea Profile is done to find out why a woman is not having her periods. It looks at hormone levels that control the menstrual cycle and helps identify conditions like PCOS, thyroid problems, high prolactin, or menopause. Test Purpose FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) Evaluates ovarian reserve and function LH (Luteinizing Hormone) Helps assess PCOS, ovulation, and hypothalamic causes Estradiol (E2) Measures estrogen levels to evaluate ovarian function Prolactin High levels can suppress menstruation via pituitary dysfunction TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Thyroid disorders often affect the menstrual cycle Testosterone / Androgens Elevated in PCOS or androgen-secreting tumors β-hCG (optional) Rules out pregnancy
