Do I need to make an appointment in advance?▼
While advance booking guarantees your slot and expedites clinic paperwork, walk-ins with your digital booking ticket are welcomed at all participating partner clinics during standard operating hours.
Can I choose any clinic across Malaysia?▼
Yes! Elab partners with 450+ verified GP clinics in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, Perak, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah, Sarawak, and nationwide.
Test Preparation & Fasting
Do I need to fast before my blood test?▼
Most comprehensive health screenings require 8 to 10 hours of overnight fasting (water is allowed and encouraged). Tests including fasting blood glucose and lipid profile require fasting. Specific hormone or infection-only tests may not require fasting.
Can I drink plain water during fasting?▼
Yes! Plain water is strictly permitted and highly recommended as it keeps you well-hydrated, making blood sample collection easier and smoother for clinic nurses.
Should I take my regular medications before the test?▼
Most essential daily medications (e.g., blood pressure) can be taken with plain water. If you take diabetes medication or insulin, consult your doctor as taking it while fasting may lower your blood sugar excessively.

How quickly do I get my test results?▼
